Parking Lot Power

There is the potential for a new type of park in your neighborhood. This “park” had “solar trees” and is found in a parking lot.

Envision Solar International, out of San Diego, CA is building “parks” out of parking lots. Solar “trees” are installed around the lot. Each “tree” is about 12 feet tall and has a thousand square foot canopy that is covered with solar cells. The “trees” shade the lot and generate clean power.

Turning a typical regional shopping mall into a “solar park” can generate enough power to light up about 500 homes. The parking lot owner agrees to buy the power generated by the “park” for the full “park” lifetime, so Envision Solar International can install the “trees” with no additional charges to the owner.

These parks are already showing up in California and may be just the cool shade and hot energy your car and you require. For more information visit href="http:// http://www.envisionsolar.com/"> www.envisionsolar.com/
