Notyak Car Features

Cars are getting a bad reputation for the carbon dioxide emitted into the air from driving. While driving less and better mileage will help, car manufacturers are also looking at other smaller green changes inside the cars – hopefully as well as the major changes to mileage and emissions.

In the February 4th issue of Business Week, a short blurb called Really Green Machines, cites some data from the Detroit Auto Show. A Lincoln concept car uses banana leaves in its carpet and recycled plastic bottles in its door panels; a Mitsubishi concept SUV uses bamboo and plant resins in its dashboard; Mercedes-Benz is using coconut husks in seat cushions; and a Rolls Royce is using sisal in the carpet.

These kinds of less critical changes show a recognition of consumer interest things green. Notyak!
